Hello members of Tulliallan,

Spring has arrived in Central Scotland just in time for the start of the season and this meant that Opening Day was a far more pleasant experience than the 2016 version!

Club Captain Scott Douglas got us off and running at 8am and he will be hoping that his opening tee shot won't be a reflection of his captaincy over the next 2 years! It's easy for me to criticise standing behind the ropes, so it's definitely time for me to get back out practicing now that summer is fast approaching!


 

Opening Day

Opening Day on Saturday was a huge success and it was great to see so many golfers out enjoying the sunshine and the return of the course back to the summer route.



We had just under 100 competitors and the feedback on the golf course was very positive.

Captain Scott Douglas, Past Captain Steven Lockhart, Ladies Convenor Marie McLellan & Ladies Vice-Convenor Ann Mawhood were first out. This was the start of a solid tee sheet until 1pm which was great to see as we are still only in March.

The raffle raised £240 and this will all be invested in Junior Development by subsidising the cost of coaching.

Thank you to all those that donated prizes and purchased tickets. Occasions like this prove just how great the members are at Tulliallan GC.

Re-Grip offer

Our special re-grip offer has only a couple of days left to run. Until the end of March, you can receive up to 3 clubs re-gripped for FREE if you get a minimum of 8 clubs re-gripped. Stock is continuing to arrive almost daily in the Pro Shop and our range of Odyssey putters and Callaway clubs are filtering through.

We have plenty of demo equipment available to the membership.

Course update

Having passed Opening Day, we are now back on the summer route. It is still requested from the greenstaff that mats are used or the ball is kicked into the rough in the 100 yard area.

Although the weather has been great over the weekend, it is still only March and growth isn't quite where we want it yet.
