Thank you for a great Pro's Day

Well, my first Pro's Day on Saturday came and went in what felt like just a couple of hours. We had 147 players which was a fantastic turnout and I really do appreciate the amount of members that came along and supported it. 

The idea of the day will always be to put up good prizes, but also to create an atmosphere of fun with nothing being taken too seriously. I will always try and bring new ideas every year but I know the dodgy pin positions on 9 & 13 and the left handed putter at 18 were enough to provide a few laughs, but also ruin a few scorecards! 

I'm not going to type up all the prize winners on here as there are so many, but hopefully you received a copy of them on Saturday night, or they can be viewed on the competitions notice board in the back corridor of the clubhouse.

Home success in Seniors Open

Last Wednesday we had our Seniors Open at the club. The weather was, unfortunately, absolutely dreadful and our original field was reduced on the day to around 125 players. We had plenty of home players on the leaderboard with Gordon Lyons winning best scratch, and Bob Stewart finishing one shot behind.

Well done to all our members that picked up prizes.

Mitchell Trophy

The ladies competed for the Mitchell Trophy (foursomes) on Friday night. Please see the results below:
