I can’t believe that it has been 7 months since our totally disastrous start to the season with “The Beast from the East.” We were very fortunate to follow this up with months of warm, dry weather which were crucial to getting the course to the level it needed and we wanted it to be at. The plaudits that the golf course has received this year should be enough to make everyone very proud to be a member of Tulliallan. The feedback we received from parties, open competition players and members has left a feeling of real satisfaction and pride at what we have achieved with limited resources.
Our fixture calendar has also been very successful as we’ve barely lost any events to weather, and we had full turnouts for almost all of our Open Competitions. Thank you to everyone that has played/volunteered/promoted any of our competitions, we genuinely appreciate all of you. On a personal note, my Pro’s Day went very well again. I consider this to be the biggest event on the calendar as it is my opportunity to give back as much as I can to all the members that I rely on to support me and what I am trying to achieve. My planning begins 3 months prior to the day and getting back to my couch at the end of the day is the highlight of my year! Thank you again to everyone that helped me and/or played on the day. Hopefully we can take all the positivity from 2018 and make next year even better.
