A bit about my background in golf

Started playing at 12 years old and immediately fell in love with the game. By 16 years old I was down to scratch and was representing my county and Scottish squad by 17. 

I turned professional at 19 in 1992 and qualified in November 1995.

My first club pros job was at Canmore GC in 1998 and 3 years later moved to Irvine GC as their head professional.

I played frequently on the Tartan Tour over the years, winning 25 professional events and represented Scotland in the 3 man European team championships on 4 occasions, winning once and enjoyed a playing captain role also.

Looking forward to hopefully playing some golf with the members so will always welcome the opportunity to get out on the course.

Please feel free to pop in and say hello and stay tuned for some changes in the shop and swing studio which will start to happen as the new stock arrives.

Unbearable tension

Last week we revealed a remarkable statistic regarding the number of golfers playing grips that are over a year old, but what impact does that actually have on your game? Well, we decided to do some digging...
