Shop news

With the arrival of new stock this week, we have been making some changes in the shop.

Our winter wall incorporates all the latest winter accessories from Under Armour, Callaway and level 4.

Beanies, snoods, logo beanies, mitts, thermal playing gloves, rain gloves, waterproof caps and bucket hats are all on display and just in time for the change in weather.

Remember our coffee machine is available to grab a freshly brewed coffee to take away with you on the colder mornings.

The arrival of the Srixon and Cleveland wedge fitting kit has created lots of interest kept us busy with some early fittings and our first custom orders are in for the new Srixon irons as well as 7 Cleveland wedges already.

Really strong performing product and I highly recommend both ranges if you are looking to change your clubs or wedges this winter.

We have a handful of Under Armour shoes left on sale at 30% off next to the winter wall. Be quick to grab a bargain. 

We have secured a few Motocaddy electric trolleys which are extremely hard to get at the moment so if you are thinking of one, please pop in for a demonstration and avoid the 6-week wait there has been all year.

All the Pros I know are currently waiting up to 2 months for orders so get one while you can at Tulliallan !!

Course update

High levels of rainfall meant flooding on the bottom 4 holes and limited use of buggies over the last few days.

If you have a buggy booked or if you use your own, please check with the pro shop prior to arriving for your round to check if they are allowed. This will avoid disappointment on arrival.

When using buggies, please take care to avoid wet areas and use the semi-rough or paths where possible, particularly in the bottom 4 holes.

The course has taken the water extremely well but caution is recommended when playing to avoid wet areas.

 
Competition news

Saturday's competition was rained off after I closed the course at 11.30 am so no results to post.

Ladies results

October medal silver section winner was Joanna Flockhart and the bronze winner was Wilma Halas.

Bonus ball winner was John McGill with number 2, winning £27.00

 
Golf on Tour

Golf's back on UK soil

When Sergio Garcia won The Masters in 2017, every headline was along the lines of ‘Finally!’. More than three years later, his win at the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship marks his first win since and prompted many similar headlines. Although, did you know both victories involved Sergio putting with his eyes shut at impact?

On the European Tour, Tommy Fleetwood looked to cap the return of the big names at the Scottish Open, a Rolex Series event, with a victory. But fellow Englishman Aaron Rai upset the odds to beat Fleetwood in a playoff that saw Tommy miss from a couple of feet at the first playoff hole.

The secret to a successful winter

Practice makes perfect, right? But perfect practise gets you there a lot faster. We've said it before - and we'll no doubt say it again - but winter provides the ideal opportunity to iron out some of those faults that have crept into your game.

Areas to work on in your golf game

It starts with a list

Begin by evaluating (out of ten) how close you are to your target for each area of your game. It's always best to be completely honest with yourself when doing this. In other words, forget about the odd time when you've hit a shot like Tiger and focus on what happens consistently round after round.

Brand new | Srixon ZX woods

Yes, Srixon is a brand best known for making fantastic golf balls, but its new ZX range of woods and irons is equally as impressive.

We really like the graphic of the ZX5 driver here - one of two options in the range. The added detail suggests a really fast face, which ultimately leads to longer and more consistent drives.
